There are many pieces of equipment to find in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Some of these pieces of armor belong to a set, with there being multiple pieces per set. One such set is the Tingle set, which is modeled after the fairy-loving man from previous Zelda games.
It should be noted that the Tingle set can be found as it is, but each of the three pieces is actually tied to a side quest. In order to get these side quests, you will first need to do Misko’s Cave of Chests. Upon completing that quest, you will be able to talk to the two brothers outside of the Cephla Lake Cave, who will offer you some info on some more treasure. You will need to pay 100 Rupees each time to get the info, which will actually start a side quest for each riddle given. Upon grabbing the armor piece, you will complete the side quest.
Where to Find Tingle’s Shirt for Misko’s Treasure: Twin Manuscript¶
The first riddle on this list talks about twins that have a cavern that faces each other. For this, you will be venturing to the Dueling Peaks, which is located in West Necluda, northeast of the Popla Foothills Skyview Tower. As mentioned in the clue, there will be two caves you’re looking for here, one of the northern cliff and the other on the souther cliff. Dueling Peaks South Cave is higher up on the cliff wall, and Dueling Peaks North Cave will be lower on the northern wall. The first goal will be find the entrance to both and peek inside to mark them on your map.
The first stop will be the North Cave, so head inside and dispatch the Horriblins you find there. Continue through the cave, until you reach the large room, which looks empty. Look at the ceiling, though, and you should see some kind of drawing there. It looks like a large triangle, with some circles at points, some of which are empty and others that are filled in. This is important here, so it’s a good idea to snap a picture of it with your in-game camera. Once you’ve got the image, exit the cave and find the entrance to the South Cave.
A Like Like will greet you just inside the cave, so get rid of it, then climb the wall to the ledge above it. You should now be in a room with some switches on the ground. The pattern should be familiar, as it’s the same triangle shape as the ceiling painting in the other cave. So, what you need to do is plant the rocks in the room on the designated switches, which will open the door and allow you to loot the chest for Tingle’s Shirt.
Where to Find Tingle’s Tights for Misko’s Treasure: Pirate Manuscript¶
For Tingle’s Tights, you will need to head to Cape Cales, towards the southeastern corner of the map. You will need to construct a boat-type vehicle here, so head to either Soka Point or Palmorae Beach. Once there, make a raft/boat, then begin sailing towards the location. As you head north around the cape, you should eventually see an opening that is the Cape Cales Cliffbase Cave; this is where you want to go. Upon entering the cave, you will meet with a dead end. You should see a wooden plank floating in the water, so go ahead and stand on it, then initiate a whistle by pressing Down on the D-Pad.
A door will open along the wall, allowing you to actually go inside the cave. You will find a pirate ship here, so you will need to actually get on it. You can actually park your boat right next to the ship, stand right next to it, then use Ascend to board it, instead of trying to climb it and always sliding downwards. Either way, upon boarding the ship, you will find some Stalkoblins and a Stalmoblin. You don’t need to defeat them, but they are easy enemies, so go ahead and do it anyway. After doing that, look on the deck, behind the crates on the one end, to find a hidden chest that contains the Tingle’s Tights.
Where to Find Tingle’s Hood for Misko’s Treasure: Heroine Manuscript¶
The final item on the list is the Tingle’s Hood, which will be located in the Gerudo Highlands area of the map. If you have uncovered that area, fast travel to the Gerudo Highlands Skyview Tower, then look northwest of it to find the Hemaar’s Descent area on your map (this was mentioned in the clue). There will be a valley south of that area on your map, which is where you will want to go. Just west of the Gerudo Summit area in the same sector, will be the Otutsum Shrine, giving you very easy access for fast traveling. Head straight northeast from the shrine, to the edge of the cliff here, and look down to find the Statue of the Eighth Heroine.
If you look on the front of the statue, you should see an orange thing, which is a switch that requires you to shine light on it for a few seconds to trigger it. Along the western cliffside here, there is a fallen piece of land that has a chest on it, so head over there and open it for three Mirrors. Now, you will need to wait for it to be daytime, since you need natural light. If you have Wood, build a campfire and rest at it until noon (assuming no rain, then keep resting until the weather is clear).
You can then use one of the !Mirrors from the chest to shine the sunlight at the switch, opening up the way to the Statue of the Eighth Heroine Cave. Inside, you will find a bunch of Gibdos, which are a little bit armored from normal strikes, but they are weak to both fire and electricity. Burning them, at least, makes the Gibdos shed their armor, allowing you to normally attack them. Either way, defeat all of the enemies in the room (one of them has wings, which is a bit scary), then go to the altar at the far end to find the chest with Tingle’s Hood.
Sadly, you cannot upgrade any pieces of the Tingle set at the Great Fairies, so it remains as you see it. Wearing all three pieces at the same time will grant you a slight bonus to speed, but only during the night.
