The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

How to Complete the Otutsum Shrine

By
Jarrod Garripoli

You will run into a large number of Shrines in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, 152 of them to be exact. They are important to do, as you will want to increase your maximum health and stamina. Some shrines are more about how to get to it, which is a puzzle, than the puzzle being inside the shrine. Such is the case with the Otutsum Shrine, located in the Gerudo Highlands.

Otutsum Shrine is located in the Gerudo Highlands area.

Where to Find Otutsum Shrine in Tears of the Kingdom

The "Otutsum Shrine" iconOtutsum Shrine is located in the Gerudo Highlands area, just north of the Gerudo Desert. If you have it unlocked, the "Gerudo Highlands Skyview Tower" iconGerudo Highlands Skyview Tower is a great place to start when trying to find this shrine. It should be noted that the highlands is pretty cold, so you will want some protection from that, before you head out to find this shrine. If you have the "Archaic Warm Greaves" iconArchaic Warm Greaves, that is one layer, and you could also equip something like a Ruby-fused weapon, since that will give you warmth by just having it on your back.

If you’ve been to the Rito Village, they have the Snowquill armor set, which also offers up cold resistance. Of course, you could also just make food that gives you cold resistance, if needed in a pinch. Should you launch yourself from the Skyview Tower, you will want to go northwest. It’s not too far, either, so you don’t have to glide too long to reach it. The only weird thing is that this shrine is fairly out in the open, so it’s not like it’s hidden or anything.

(1 of 2) You might find some Ice Chuchus near the shrine.

There’s really not much else to say here, since you will just stumble upon this shrine while you’re exploring the area. Once you find it, head inside, open the chest for a Topaz, then grab the "Light of Blessing" iconLight of Blessing from the altar. Note that if you’re looking to obtain the "Tingle's Hood" iconTingle’s Hood piece of armor and are coming from the south, then you will undoubtedly run into this shrine. You could also go for this shrine during "A Picture for the Closed Stable II" iconA Picture for the Closed Stable II, as the Gerudo Summit is directly east of the shrine.
