Wild Pokémon - Fishing¶
From here, it’s not far to reach Turffield. After leaving the Galar Mine, speak to the lady up ahead to restore your Pokémon. Then head north along the main path. The path will branch off to the right. On the left, there’s a camp site that you can visit. Unless you’re in a hurry, head right towards the side path.
Over here, there’s a berry tree if you feel doing some shaking. Next, go up towards the gap in the stone fence. To the left is a trainer who desires a battle.
Pokémon Breeder Jaime¶
Pokémon | Level | Type |
---|---|---|
Meowth (Galarian) | 14 | Steel |
Seedot | 14 | Grass |
Butterfree | 15 | Bug/Flying |
This is the perfect time to unleash your Fire-types! First up is a Galarian Meowth. Unlike its Kantonian and Alolan cousins, it’s a Steel-type. So it’s weak to Fire, Ground and Fighting. Be wary of Fake Out, which causes a flinch on the first turn.
Next can be Seedot, a Grass-type. Fire, Flying, Ice or Bug-types would be great here. Finally, he has a Butterfree, a fully evolved Cateripe and a Bug and Flying-type. Rock-types deal quadruple damage. Otherwise, Fire, Ice, Flying or Electric-types are solid choices.
Go through the gap in the fence, into the wheat field. Near the entrance, there’s a young child wearing a Pikachu costume running around in a circle. They’re not just playing; they want to battle!
Poké Kid Shane¶
Pokémon | Level | Type |
---|---|---|
Pikachu | 15 | Electric |
To nobody’s surprise, the kid wearing a Pikachu costume has a Pikachu. The famous Pokémon mascot is an Electric-type and only weak to Ground-types. You can catch some from the Galar Mine. But it’s not necessary; your strongest Pokémon that aren’t Water or Flying should do fine.
From where the Poké Kid is, there are three nearby items you can pick up. In the top left corner, where there’s no wheat, you can find a hidden Ether by the rock. Above the Poké Kid, there’s a visible Cleanse Tag on the ground, above one of the fallen stone pillars. Finally, to the right of the Poké Kid, search below the tall stones for a hidden Paralyze Heal.
Head east from the tall stones. There are more items on this side. Nearby, you can collect 3 Nest Balls sitting visibly to the right of a large rock. Afterwards, carry on east, while keeping towards the south. In the bottom-right corner, search near the big rock in the fence for a hidden Rare Candy. Lastly, go up and check out the boxes and bags on the right for 2 Energy Powder.
Exit the wheat field through the gap in the fence to the north. Be wary of a Pokémon Breeder standing towards the left, facing the wheat field. He’s looking left and right and can even see you from across the fence if you get too close.
Pokémon Breeder Bradley¶
Electrike is obviously an Electric-type. As with Pikachu, Ground-types are effective. Next is Lotad, a Water and Grass-type. If you have them, Flying or Bug-types will do well here.
Go east from Bradley. You’ll reach a trainer tips sign, as well as a river where you can enjoy some fishing. Briefly head south alongside the riverside. You can find a Sharp Beak here, which Flying-types would appreciate. Now go back and head west. After a while, there’ll be a gap in the fence along the north. Go through here to reach a second wheat field.
Inside, go left towards the nearby corner. Search here to find a hidden Revival Herb. Head back towards the entrance. Watch out for a child wearing an Eevee costume running in a circle along the top.
Poké Kid Mia¶
Pokémon | Level | Type |
---|---|---|
Eevee | 15 | Normal |
Eevee is a popular Normal-type that can evolve into a wide variety of Pokémon. If you’re lucky, you can catch one here! Anyway, Fighting-types have the advantage here. But any strong Pokémon should suffice.
Just above the entrance, there’s a small stone ramp. Go up it and search near the top for a hidden Paralyze Heal. If you’re feeling athletic, you can continue to the end of the jamp to jump off it. In any case, make your way east through the field. There will be a path between the wheat going through two tall stone slabs. Be careful as there’s another Poké Kid below looking for a scrap.
Poké Kid Rhys¶
Rhys doesn’t have a Pikachu, but he does have two electrifying Bug-types (although Grubbin isn’t one just yet). Against Joltik, Fire or Rock-types are advised. As for Grubbin, you can go with the same or add Flying to the mix.
Pick up TM07 Pin Missile below Rhys and on his right. Now go all the way back west, to exit this wheat field. If you keep to the south, there’s a wide stone ramp that you can use around halfway along. Outside, carry on west to return to the main path. Up ahead is the entrance to Turffield. Meanwhile, on the left is another wheat field. Go left before the entrance. Search the wheelbarrow for a Repel.
Enter the wheat field up ahead. Above the entrance, there’s an Eevee cosplayer looking for a bout.
Poké Kid Sunny¶
Pokémon | Level | Type |
---|---|---|
Milcery | 15 | Fairy |
Milcery is a new Fairy-type found randomly in the wheat fields. Only Poison and Steel-types are super-effective. However, judging from its meager appearance, you probably know it’s not a very strong Pokémon.
Go over to the wooden crate above Sunny and search it carefully to find 2 X Accuracies. Next, go west through the wheat, while keeping to the north. You’ll reach a tree in the corner, where you can scoop up some Silver Powder. Give this to a Bug-type to make it stronger. Now go south towards the area without wheat. Search ’ere for a hidden Energy Root. Then go east to leave the field.
You’re all done here. Head north along the main path to reach Turffield. You’ll bump into Milo, the Turffield Gym Leader. Once he’s gone, follow him into Turffield.
