Pokémon: Sword & Shield

Overview

You’ll find Dappled Grove off to the west of Rolling Fields in which should be your natural path toward Motostoke at the start if the Gym Challenge. It’s a smaller Zone than Rolling Fields (in fact, a lot of the Zones are) but there are still some useful Hidden Items to find around the many trees here and there’s four Berry Trees to make use of, two the southwest and two to the northeast. Finally, you’ll find five Pokémon Dens to do battle with Dynamax Pokémon so there’s plenty to see and do here.

Watt Trader

You can find the Watt Trader by heading along the western cliff to the north.

If you follow the cliff to the west all the way north, you’ll come across the southwestern Berry Trees with the Watt Trader standing in the middle of them. Once you have the "Rotom" IconRotom Bike, you’ll create a route to another Watt Trader so that you can take part in the Rotom Rally. The good the Watt Trader sells in exchange for Watts changes on a daily basis but you’ll be able to find some useful TRs along with Wishing Pieces and a rare Pokéball.

Welcome to our comprehensive strategy guide for Pokémon: Sword and Shield, the latest entries in the Pokémon video game franchise. Our guide also incorporates all the DLC, including the Isle of Armor and brand new Crown Tundra DLC.

In Sword and Shield, you explore the Galar region, based on the United Kingdom, alongside rivals Hop, Bede and Marnie, with the aim to dethrone the Pokémon League Champion.

The games introduce several new features such as Dynamaxing and Gigantamaxing, functions that increase size and change forms of certain Pokémon; the Wild Area, a large open world with free camera movement; and raids with co-op battling. They also reintroduce features previously seen in Sun and Moon and Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Let’s Go, Eevee!, such as regional variants and roaming Pokémon depicted in the overworld.
