How to Complete the Feed the Rift Muspelheim Trial in God of War Ragnarok¶
The Feed the Rift Muspelheim trial feels a bit more like a game rather than a combat challenge. You’ll be facing fairly easy enemies throughout the trial, usually in the form of Draugr and Reavers for the first wave, and each one will be glowing to indicate that they will drop one of the orbs after defeating them. There will be a realm tear rift in the center of the arena that you need to throw the orbs into, and you need to do this a total of six times within the 60 second time limit for the first wave.
For the second wave, you’ll have 150 seconds to throw a total of 15 orbs into the realm tear, and you’ll now be facing slightly more difficult enemies such as Viken and Draugr Brutes, but you’ll also have to contend with the more annoying Wisps as well. Keep in mind that you need to hit Wisps with an arrow first to break their defences, before you can hit them with melee attacks. It may seem like there are multiple tears as you throw the orbs into it from different directions, but this is actually the realm tear following you around the arena to make sure that you can always turn around and face it head on.
Feed the Rift Muspelheim Trial Waves¶
Wave | Time | Orbs |
---|---|---|
1 | 60 | 6 |
2 | 150 | 15 |
There’s no real difficulty that you’ll encounter in this trial, or on any level of game difficulty setting. The main thing you need to make sure that you do is kill off the enemies around you quickly to avoid taking damage as you’re attempting to throw one of the orbs into a realm tear, but even if you do get hit, it shouldn’t be for much damage. All you need to do is interact with the orbs on the ground to pick them up, then aim by holding and throw them by pressing . As Muspelheim trials go, this is by far one of the easiest. You should have plenty of time to throw all six orbs into the realm tears without having to worry too much about the timer running out.
If you do find yourself struggling to stay alive as you’re fighting enemies and throwing orbs into the realm tear, you can try to use armor which allows you to replenish health, such as the Steinborn Armor which provides a perk that restores your health after significant damage is taken. Alternatively, if you have a high stun build the Nidavellir Finest Armor perk provides an excellent way to restore health by stun grabbing enemies whenever they’re stun locked.
